Service Description:
|
60 bachelor style apartments with full kitchen for independent seniors aged 65+ * emergency response * access to doctors, nurses, and other health care professionals * Assistive Living and Supports for Daily Living Program operates 24/7 with an on site PSW * attendant services include both non-medical personal support and essential homemaking tasks
Assisted living services include:
- personal support services such as bathing and toileting, assisting with mobility and medication monitoring, activities of daily living (ADLs)
- shopping, light house cleaning, meal preparation
- shopping, banking, paying bills
- caring for children (in the presence of the client)
- security checks or reassurance services
Other services:
- transportation to medical and other social-related appointments, banking, shopping (Mon-Fri 9am-1pm) * in Mississauga only
- pharmacy services
- access to an Italian speaking doctor and other health professionals
- chiropodist
- referral to community/nursing services
- fall prevention program
- osteoporosis exercise program
- mobile hairdresser and barber
- assistive devices repair clinic
- full-time recreation and volunteer coordinator provides multiple programs to enrich the lives of our residents on a daily basis
- information sessions on medical and non-medical services health topics
- community volunteer income tax program
