Service Description: The Centre for Indigenous Learning and Support is an inclusive space for all Indigenous (First Nation, Métis and Inuit) learners at Sheridan College supporting academic and personal success. 

Services include:
  • pre-arrival supports
  • academic support, developmental and holistic advising
  • bursaries, scholarships, and band funding supports 
  • connections to elders and external community resources 
  • culturally relevant programming and events 

Financial Aid
  • Guidance and support regarding financial aid including First Nations Band Funding, Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP), internal and community scholarships & bursaries. 

Indigenous Education Council (IEC)

  • has the collective responsibility to advise the college on challenges and barriers related to the success of Indigenous learners
  • created to provide strategic direction for the college in improving the success, attainment, and retention of Indigenous learners at Sheridan
