Service Description:
|
Health centre focused on family and community health * health professionals assess and treat non-life-threatening injuries or illnesses * referrals to other local health services and personal development groups
Medical services:- primary health care
- chiropody (foot care)
- physiotherapy program (provides injury prevention programs, direct assessment and treatment, education, support programs and group programming for clients of the LAMP Community Health Centre and the South Etobicoke area)
- diabetes education program
- nutrition counselling
- dental health care
Community and social support programs:- health promotion
- seniors wellness (exercise and art classes)
- LGBTTIQQ2S (monthly drop-in, access to harm reduction items, no-cost gender gear, and support with filling out name and gender marker change forms, 6-week closed support group, 6-week course on supporting people in becoming parents through adoption, surrogacy, or pregnancy
- mental wellness
- social work (LAMP's drop-in counselling is currently on hold)
- youth programs
- Community Information Centre (provides legal advice clinic, income tax clinic, government form filling, settlement services for newcomers to Canada, Commissioner for Taking Affidavits clinic, community resources listings, information, referral and advocacy, volunteer program)
