Service Description:
The largest non-governmental direct provider of social services in Canada, serving Georgetown and the surrounding community.


  • Food Bank operations Tue and Thu, 10 am-12 noon by appointment only
  • Emergency Services Response will be in operation where required from our Regional Office as required
  • phone calls to local office will be accepted in this regard

  • Provides emergency assistance to those in need in many different ways: 
    • food assistance
    • clothing 
    • temporary shelter
    • pastoral counselling
    • information about and referral to other agencies
    • community services (Eg. camping services, Christmas assistance, etc)
    • emergency disaster services (operated Regionally)

    Eligibility / Target Population: Assistance available to individuals who have been receiving General Welfare from the Region of Halton, for a period of time in excess of three months, or Family Benefits from the Ministry of Community and Social Services (MCSS). Screening process follows.
