Service Description:

A service of the Halton Hills Public Library providing community information and referral to services and programs
Major Services:
- operates a free and confidential telephone information and referral service providing individuals and organizations with current information on services available for residents of Halton Hills
- provides information on:
- government services and agencies
- social service organizations
- support groups
- health education and support
- legal services
- financial assistance
- housing and landlord tenant issues
- recreation
- hobby and interest groups
- cultural activities
- maintains a walk-in centre that provides free verbal information and referral, houses a large display of free pamphlets, flyers, newsletters and brochures
- in cooperation with the other Halton information centres, makes available the Halton Community Services Directory
- a member of Halton Information Providers (HIP), the purpose of which is to support the needs of the residents of Halton Region by maintaining consistent and credible standards of community and human service information
