Service Description: Adult day program * social, recreational, and therapeutic activities for older adults in a group setting for part of the day * helps to support family caregivers who provide day-to-day care * enhances independence and quality of life * support to families who are providing care * transportation is not included in program fee (participants and their caregivers are responsible for getting to and from the adult day program) * Day Program Coordinators assists with linking clients and families to the various transportation providers * monthly caregiver support group

  • reminiscence groups

Milton Place (adjacent to Allendale Long Term Care Home) - Beneficial to community-based adults with disabilities and older adults who require mental and social stimulation, require assistance or supervision with their activities of daily living, or have caregivers who require caregiver relief * accommodates 20 clients per day

Friends Landing (adjacent to Allendale Long Term Care Home) - Geared to community-based, cognitively impaired older adults/adults who exhibit wandering or exit seeking behaviour and may require a small group setting * accommodates 8 clients per day in a secured setting

Adult Day Programs also located in Georgetown

Fees: $24.43 per day * additional fee for transportation
