Service Description: Provide assessment and treatment programs for people suffering disturbances in cognitive function and behaviour due to brain dysfunction * Problems may include memory loss, speech and language disorders, as well as cognitive deficits associated psychiatric disorders such as depression * Our services include:
  • Assessment and diagnosis 
  • Pharmacotherapy 
  • Non-pharmacological management 
  • Counselling Education

Sam and Ida Ross Memory Clinic provides expert evidence-based care, access to a wide range of specialists. All clients will be seen by a physician and registered nurse. In addition, depending on the individual’s need, referral may be made to a neuropsychologist, social worker or speech language pathologist. 

Referrals from a physician or nurse practitioner for this service can be initiated through our Central Navigation, which adheres to a no-wrong-door approach. This assists community agencies, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals in navigating Ambulatory Services at Baycrest. Meetings: The Clinic provides both in-person and virtual visits at the discretion of the care team in collaboration with the patient. For patients opting for virtual visits, the patient must be physically located in the province of Ontario at the time of the clinical virtual visit. 
Fees: Most services covered by OHIP * varies by program
Application: Referral from a physician or nurse practitioner is required for many programs and should be initiated through our Central Navigation.
Eligibility / Target Population: Adults who live in the community, at Baycrest, other long-term care homes and assisted living residences in Ontario. Appointments may be in-person or virtual at the discretion of the care team in collaboration with the patient.
