Service Description: The Bathing Program offers a safe, supportive, and spa-like experience designed specifically for persons living with dementia in the community * whether clients simply need access to an accessible, barrier-free shower or require full bathing assistance, highly trained Personal Support Workers (PSWs) can help * participants are asked to bring their own personal care items, including a change of clothes, soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, shaving supplies, toothbrush, toothpaste, and any other preferred hygiene products * the program also offers personal care education for Care Partners, empowering them with the skills and confidence to provide safe, effective support at home

Application: Appointments are available on Wednesdays and Fridays * call 905-278-3667 ext 307, or email direct.support@alzheimerpeel.com to start the intake process or book an appointment * can also submit a First Link referral
Eligibility / Target Population: Individuals with cognitive impairment * this service may not be suitable for individuals who have complex medical needs or individuals who require lifting. The Bathing Program is wheelchair accessible; however, to safely use the service, participants must be able to bear weight with or without assistance.
