Service Description: The program helps victims of intimate partner violence and human trafficking access safe and affordable housing

The Housing Worker:

  • supports the client in finding safe and affordable housing
  • provides assistance in filling out all the required forms, as well as gathers and organizes documents
  • advocates with landlords on behalf of victims to ensure their housing needs are met

This program works collaboratively with PATH (Peel Access To Housing) to ensure urgent housing needs including housing transfers are addressed

Once housing has been secured for victims the Transitional Housing Support Worker helps with life skills such as budgeting to ensure clients have the skills they need to live their lives free from violence

Eligibility / Target Population: Victims of intimate partner violence and human trafficking who need help to access safe and affordable housing * Residents of Mississauga and Brampton
