Service Description:

Nation-wide service created through a partnership between MedicAlert and the Alzheimer Society of Canada
- if a person living with dementia goes missing, call 911 immediately
- tracking device (or locating device) helps identify a person with dementia who is lost and assist them to safely return home
- might also be appropriate for people with autism and developmental disabilities
Helpful information for patients, family/caregivers of people with dementia can be found at Finding Your Way - education to recognize the risk of going missing, be prepared for incidents of going missing, and ensure that people with dementia can live safely in the community
