Service Description: A registered charity providing transitional support services in housing and life coaching to vulnerable and racialized youth aging out, or recently aged out of the Child Protection system in the Halton/Peel region of Ontario

Provides transitional housing and culturally responsive wrap-around support services to vulnerable racialized youth experiencing or at-risk of homelessness in the Halton Region. 
 
The Oasis House is a spacious house, in an accessible location in the North-West end of Oakville, serving mostly black male youth (18-29 yrs) from the Halton/Peel Region
  • Provide safe, stable accommodation and wrap-around support services to youth, so they can overcome barriers, thrive and transition successfully into independent adult living
  • Program model adheres to the Foyer Housing Model
  • Support youth to navigate and access community resources for education, employment, health and appropriate financial support
  • Life Skills training to strengthen capacity to live independently
  • Designed to duplicate a healthy, supportive family environment
  • Engages a strength-based approach in building individual capacity for success

Eligibility / Target Population: Aging out or recently aged out of home, foster care and/or youth justice systems and facing the risks of homelessness
Service is culturally responsive and focused on Black racialized youth
