Service Description:
|
Community Withdrawal Management Services (CWMS) offers an alternative to residential withdrawal management, where individuals who can safely withdrawal from alcohol and/or other drugs are able to do so in a safe and supportive community environment
CWMS counsellors/case managers are available to assist individuals who want to stop using alcohol and/or other drugs by developing a plan for withdrawal
- participation is voluntary
- services are free and confidential
- nursing staff are available for consultation
- medical assessment by a physician may be requested
Services Include:
- Screening/Intake & Assessment
- Individual Counselling
- Group Counselling
- Pre-Withdrawal Planning
- Acute and Post-Acute Withdrawal Monitoring and Support
- Transitional Case Management
