Service Description:
|
Central access point for people who apply for all housing needs, including subsidized housing in Peel and assistance with those currently experiencing a more immediate risk of homelessness. Provides ongoing customer services to those on the centralized wait list and by name wait list
Monitors the centralized wait list for over 46 housing providers. Centralized housing wait lists are governed by legislation (Housing Services Act)
Rent geared to income rent is calculated based on income, and is about 30% of the gross monthly household income
Applications for centralized wait list or Community Housing under the HSA can be made online at https://www.peelregion.ca/housing
The Region of Peel provides a coordinated and integrated response to the complex challenges of homelessness
