Service Description: Seniors’ Program offers a safe and friendly space for older adults (age 55+) from diverse cultures to meet

The program
  • reduces social isolation of 'at risk' ethnic seniors
  • supports development of social networks
  • promotes health and wellness
  • builds self esteem and self confidence to lead an independent life


Program activities:
  • walk and talk social - an opportunity to enjoy fresh air and and exercise while enjoying the conversation and social participation of other participants
  • men's social program - offers social time, health promotion education and a light lunch


Currently, there is a wait period of approximately one year for programs offered on Tue and Thu

Eligibility / Target Population: Service is available to residents within the geographic boundaries - W to Highway 427, N to Steeles Avenue, E to Humber River, S to Dixon Road Older adults-age 55+
