Service Description: 22 apartment housing complex, located in the Mel Lloyd Centre, adjacent to Dufferin Oaks in Shelburne for seniors who require extra support to remain living independently * Assisted living services provided by Dufferin County Community Support Services and sub-contracts to March of Dimes to operate 6 units for adults with physical disabilities who require full assisted living housing

The housing complex consists of:

  • 8 bachelor, 7 one bedroom, and 1 two-bedroom senior apartments accessed through Housing Access Dufferin (519-941-6991) and 6 units for adults with physical difficulty, managed by March of Dimes (905-925-1048)
  • residents whose care needs become too heavy or are no longer able to direct own care will need to look at other options
  • 24-hour on-site staff available in case of an emergency
  • pets allowed

Application: To be processed through: Housing Access Dufferin
Eligibility / Target Population: Seniors 60 and over who require extra support to remain living independently but do not yet need the care of a long term care home.
Physically disabled persons over the age of 16 who require full supportive housing.
Residents will need to comply with Village standards and local bylaws
March of Dimes operated units are for people 16 years and over who are physically disabled
