Service Description: A telephone reassurance program where volunteer callers phone lonely, isolated or frail older adults, providing friendly conversation, security and reassurance * volunteers call according to a pre-arranged schedule * if the volunteer is unable to reach the client, the agency will follow up until we establish that the client is safe and sound * volunteer opportunities available (apply online) * also provides security check-in calls

Application: Self-referral, family, friends or service providers * online referral form available
Eligibility / Target Population: Older adults (65+) living in their own home or a retirement home who are socially isolated and lonely * no diagnosis of dementia * reside in Halton, have valid Ontario Health Card and have no communicable diseases
Languages: English
Language Notes: Services are available in other languages as needed
