Service Description: A registered charitable organization that responds to Halton single parent families in housing crisis by providing stable, affordable long-term accommodation through a housing-first stabilization, education and job search program

Intake:
  • Home Suite Hope accepts applications year round and completes intake and interviews from March-September annually

Program offers participants:
  • housing support
  • integrated support in acquiring education through a scholarship to post-secondary schooling
  • wrap-around services through dedicated case workers and partner agencies
  • job skills and related training/mentoring to achieve individual potential and financial stability
  • one-on-one life skills training
  • residents work one-on-one with program staff who provide case management and service coordination  

All candidates' situations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis in the areas of:
  • family status
  • employment status
  • income level
  • education status
  • all significant health, behavioural, emotional and developmental issues

Fees:
  • Participants pay subsidized rent at a rate that offsets the carrying costs of the apartment, including taxes, utilities, insurance, maintenance and HSH services
  • Participants are responsible for internet, phone and cable
