Having a document signed by a Commissioner of Oaths is different from having it notarized. The Town provides commissioning services, for a fee, but does not provide notary services. If a Notary Public is required, see Yellow pages under "Notaries Public".

Service Description: Offers a Commissioner of Oaths, authorized by the Province of Ontario, to take oaths or statutory declarations. If a notary public is required, a lawyer's office should be contacted.

Payment can be made by cash, money order, certified cheque, debit card, Visa or MasterCard.

Fees: Service - $35 (includes HST) for up to 2 signatures
Application: Appointments are preferred for affidavits and marriage licences * appointments start at 8:45 am, and the last appointment is 4 pm
