Service Description: 8 bed pediatric unit providing compassionate care to children from 24 hours of age up to 18 years experiencing a wide range of disease and illness * healthcare on pediatric unit includes physicians, nurses, dietitians, physiotherapists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, social workers, and other team members * work in partnership with families to coordinate services and provide care


Outpatient clinics:
  • Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) Clinic: RSV is a very common virus in infancy and early childhood, and can cause an infection of the lungs in premature babies and children with certain lung conditions or congenital heart disease * clinic operates from November to April * doctor and healthcare team will determine and make appropriate referral to this clinic
  • Child and Adolescent Outpatient Mental Health Services: for children and adolescents up to the age of 17 experiencing moderate to severe mental health issues * services include day treatment program, eating disorders, psychiatric consultation, child and adolescent clinic, navigation support * contact one-Link at 905-338-4123 or 1-844-216-7411
  • Post Emergency Pediatric Clinic (PEPC): provides follow-up consultation services for children who have been seen in the Emergency Department at either the Oakville, Milton or Georgetown hospitals * children may be referred to this clinic if it is felt that further follow-up by a pediatrician is required
  • Pediatric Diabetes Clinic: provides outpatient care to children from 5 to 18 years of age with type 1 and type 2 diabetes * team includes a pediatric endocrinologist, diabetes nurse educator, social worker, kinesiologist and a registered dietitian * each patient is assessed and diagnosed by an endocrinologist, with the team working together to develop a personalized plan for each child’s individual care
