Service Description:

Days Ahead Program (Assessment, Treatment and Referral Services)
- full assessment of a youth’s drug, alcohol use or gambling and its impact on relationships, education/ employment, legal, leisure, physical and emotional health
- counselling for the youth and his/her family
- services available for young people affected by someone else’s substance use
- additional referrals as required to meet client needs
- community support and education
- available in Burlington, Oakville, Milton, Georgetown, Acton
Something to Know
- for “at risk” youth who have been identified by parents/caregivers, police, and/or other
agencies - workshops available in a community setting or office based
- groups focus on substance use awareness, mental health, decision making or life skills with the goal being to improve positive, healthy decision making
- available throughout Halton
Youth Outreach Program (YOP)
- a strength-based, client centered service for youth ages 15-24 who are experiencing substance use with or without mental health challenges and barriers staying connected to relevant support services
- offer community-based counseling, case management services and consistent support to assist youth in making successful transitions into adulthood
- support is also available for parents/caregivers

Just Be You
- Peer-led and youth-focused peer support program that provides young people impacted by mental health and/or addiction, a place to go, hang out, and have fun - without judgment, without stigma, on their own terms
- for youth ages 16–24
- held in-person at locations throughout Halton
