Service Description: Provides emergency housing for single males and females over 25 years old, and couples without children experiencing homelessness. It is designed with 37 units which can accommodate up to 119 people with an overflow capacity to assist the Wilkinson Road Shelter and the Peel Family Shelter when needed * length of stay is 30-90 days * overnight for extreme weather response

Services provided in emergency shelter programs:
  • housing connections and advocacy
  • case management
  • referrals to community-based resources (health, mental health, long-term support and other services)
  • recovery support for substance use disorder
  • accompaniment
  • follow-up support
  • spiritual and religious care
  • computer access

Peel Street Helpline (Peel Street Outreach Program) 1-877-848-8481 * mobile team includes mental health support staff, substance use harm reduction staff, family transition outreach staff, and housing support worker * provides food, personal supplies, housing/emergency shelter, mental health and/or substance help
