Service Description:
|
Assists newcomers in achieving settlement and integration within the Region of Peel * core services include:- English training: Language Instruction for Newcomers * English Language (levels 0–4) * Digital English: Everyday Skills * Women Forward: English for Life * English for the Canadian Workplace * Early Childhood Education Assistant
- Employment services: Labour Market Access (LMA) Program * Rural Employment Initiative (REI)
- Counselling services including settlement services, interpretation and translation, counselling in schools (through partnership with Peel District School Board and Peel Dufferin Catholic District School Board)
- Community connections: assists adult newcomers with engaging in their community and becoming active Canadian citizens * youth and seniors activities
- Volunteering Program: assists newcomers to develop real work experience, and volunteer opportunities for adults and students
- Care for Newcomer Children Program: provides care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school age children of newcomers
