Service Description: Assists newcomers in achieving settlement and integration within the Region of Peel * core services include:
  • English training: Language Instruction for Newcomers (LINC classes, levels 1 to 8) * Workplace and Communication Course * Youth and Senior classes
  • Employment services: Labour Market Access (LMA) Program * Select for Success (SFS) Project * Rural Employment Initiative (REI) Project
  • Counselling services including settlement services, interpretation and translation, counselling in schools (through partnership with Peel District School Board and Peel Dufferin Catholic District School Board), and parenting program
  • Community connections: assists adult newcomers with engaging in their community and becoming active Canadian citizens * youth and seniors activities
  • Co-op and Volunteering Program: assists newcomers to develop real work experience, and volunteer opportunities for adults and students
  • Care for Newcomer Children Program: provides care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school age children of newcomers and their families

Application: Drop-in or call for appointment * proper identification required such as PR card, landing papers, citizenship cards
