Service Description:
|
A team of experienced cleaners work with clients to address the cleaning and safety needs in their home * offers free cleaning and de-cluttering services to vulnerable individuals, seniors and families
Program Eligibility Criteria:- Must be at risk of homelessness due to the condition of the home
- Must live in the Peel Region (Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon)
- Must meet the low-income criteria
- Must be over the age of 18 years old
- Must demonstrate a willingness to make changes and ability to learn new skills
- Must be willing to let go of items
- Must consent to service
Services include:
- Decluttering, thoroughly cleaning and preparing living spaces for pest control services
- Providing supportive, hands-on decluttering sessions
- Improving home safety for clients returning home from a hospital stay
- Ensuring the home meets public health standards for clients who may be facing eviction
- Following up with weekly maintenance when appropriate
- Helping socially isolated individuals reconnect with family and community
- Providing links and referrals to other community supports for long-term needs
