Service Description:
|
Subsidy program that helps low-income households and newcomers with refugee status in Mississauga access to recreation and culture programs * eligible families and individuals received a non-refundable credit ($275/year) on their recreation account that can be used for registrations and memberships * credits that have not been used six months after enrolment will be automatically removed from the system in order to provide funding to others

Visit any Mississauga community centre to submit application * application available at community centres or online * original current supporting documents required

Eligibility / Target Population:
|
Residents of Mississauga * total net individual or combined family income below the Low Income Cut Off (LICO) amounts and be able to provide one or more of the documents listed on the ActiveAssist application * or, have arrived to Canada as a refugee and provide documents indication they have had refugee status for less than a year and provide documents identifying a Mississauga address * or, be a child in Children's Aid Society's care
