 Collaborative community service offered by the Alzheimer Society of Peel, Nucleus Independent Living, Links2Care, AbleLiving Services and Home Instead Senior CareActivities of daily living (ADL): movement and transfers, dressing and undressing, personal hygiene, bathing and going to the bathroomInstrumental activities of daily living (IADL): meal preparation and help with eating, medication reminders, homemaking (light housekeeping, laundry)Companionship support and safety monitoring: some recreational activities, safety checks, helping to prevent wandering, redirection, prompting, cueing
 
 Respite advisors are health care professionals who have a solid understanding of the health care system and can help connect caregivers with the supports and resources they need to help keep their loved ones at home
